Dr. Waleed Basyouni is the Imam at Clear Lake Islamic Center. He is also a Fatwa & Research Committee Member at the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA), Member at the North American Imam Federation (NAIF), Director at Texas Dawah Convention, Vice President at AlMaghrib Institute, and Advisor to several Islamic societies/ organizations in the United Sates. Further, he has also made numerous appearances in various media outlets around the world including: Al-Huda Channel, Islam Channel, PeaceTV, and many other radio talk shows and television programs in both the English and Arabic languages.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Islamic Sciences from Al-Imam Muhammad University, KSA, Masters in Islamic Theology, World Religions and Modern Religious Sects from Al Imam Muhammad University, and acquired a PhD in Theology. Shaykh Waleed has ijaazahs in the Holy Quran and Hadeeth sciences from various renowned scholars. He has the honor of studying under some the greatest scholars of our time such as Shaykh Ibn Baz, Abdul-Razzaq Afify and others.
